Freelance Survey Nurses/Midwives
About the job
The NatCen freelance nurse work primarily consists of carrying
out a face to face interview with participating households. After
completing initial training a freelance nurses work will
involve:
- Attending project briefings
- Using a laptop computer to download addresses via a landline
telephone
- Locating, planning routes and travelling independently to these
addresses
- Liasing with an interviewer regarding availability
- Making visits on set appointment dates agreed with the
interviewer
- Conducting interviews and measurements including a blood sample
using appropriate equipment (laptop, medical equipment, paper
questionnaire)
- Completing administration tasks at home and downloading
information back to the Operations Department
- Attending training as and when required
- Being available for regular contact by telephone with the
management team
- A commitment to NatCen's policies and quality procedures for
freelancers
Payment
Earnings are based on Nurse Band 5
Work for NatCen nurses is offered on an assignment basis of
approximately 10 to 15 households to be completed within a 4 week
period.
You'll earn a fee for each individual interviewed and fees for
related activities including administrative tasks, the fee amount
is determined by the estimated interview length and complexity of
